We loved our stay!

We have been going to Acres for over 30 years. My daughter grew up going there and still loves it. My husband loves to fly fish and is very happy going, even alone. Can't recommend the place enough. The owners are lovely and so are many of the staff.

Wonderful campsites are well equipped and private. There are tons of things to do. Pet friendly. Nice bathrooms and private showers. Very creative housing for those who want more than a tent or camper. Great Food, and a store that is amazing!

This was our third year camping here. Love all the activities for both kids and adults - nice opportunity to meet other campers and to get to know the staff, who are all friendly and make this a fun place to be. My kids love jumping off the docks and making tie-dye shirts. My outgoing son always makes new friends here and disappears for hours having fun. So I would add it's a safe place for your kids to roam around as long as you are confident they won't go in pond without you present (there is no life guard), which I am confident of with my kids. Bathrooms are kept very clean and there is an outdoor sink at each where you can wash your dishes. My only real issue is that there is no enforcement of quiet hour or the speed of golf carts. We were fortunate to have great neighbors but we were annoyed the first couple of days this year when teenagers were continually driving fast in a noisy golf cart to the unfinished lodging across the road from us, and their language was very foul in the evening. We did not report it to the office, but I never saw anyone come around to enforce quiet hour the entire week as I have at another campground we used to frequent. Would be 5 star rating if that was done, but overall a great family campground where you can make lots of fun memories as we have. Come in with enough food for three days cause you won't want to drive on the 3 mile dirt road often to get to supermarket! 25 minute drive to supermarket (Hannafords) and 15 minute drive to Dollar General. There is a camp store in campground that has basics.

Acres of Wildlife Campground is AWESOME!

Our Family has being going to Acres for 20 years now. We don't camp any where else. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. John is my favorite "down front guy" to talk to you, always helpful and knows the place in and out! It's nice to see Mike out during the day doing things around the campground, it's definitely a family run business. I feel like I've watched his kids grow up! Can't wait for adult weekend!

Just got home today from our first stay at the campground. We absolutely had a blast! We weren't in love with the site we got (up on a hill and a bit sloped), but made sure to scout around for sites that would be better for us next time around. The kids (and us adults!) had activities to keep them busy all day long. The one shower house, and 4 or 5 bathrooms we used through the week were very clean for camping standards (the odd bug here or there, but clean, no smells, no trash laying around in them. It's the middle of the woods, so the occasional bug in them is expected, lol). Staff was very welcoming and friendly in every encounter we had with them, even when security had to bring one of my twins back to our site during the light-up dance (he had sand thrown into his eyes & mouth from another child). Prices were what I'd expect to find at any campground, for example 5 ice creams with toppings only cost us $15, and pizza night for us was only about $30 for 2 pizzas, fries, and 5 drinks. We did hear noise past the 10:30 "quiet time" from the inn and beach area across the lake from where we stayed, but nothing too obnoxious or that kept us awake. One suggestion would be to enforce the 5 mph rule, especially for people in the golf carts; and maybe think about lowering the price a bit ($100 a day is a bit too steep, in our opinion). We will most definitely be making this a yearly trip, and will be attempting to take other family & friends with us next time! Thanks for an amazing end to our summer!!
